For as long as we have existed, the fear of complete and utter annihilation has been hanging on our heads. As the most intelligent creatures living and burdening the planet, may be that is not such a bad idea after all.
I am not talking about creating any man-made disasters for this purpose like what Thanos or Bertrand Zobrist (Inferno- Dan Brown) believes in. I am talking about nature taking serious steps in correcting its course. May be like hitting a ‘reset button’ and start afresh…
I am sure the world was once a fabulous place to live in with all its flora and fauna and people who were kinder and had more sense than today. Albert Einstein’s fear of generation of idiots because of all the technological advances, has come true. We may even call it the outbreak of a zombie apocalypse. The other day I was enjoying a milkshake at a mall and was looking around observing people (as I do normally). It just struck me that every freaking person, be it an adult or a kid, are glued to their hand-held devices. A bunch of college kids are waiting for their food and all have their heads up their phones. No one is talking to each other. Little away there was a family of three (dad, mom and a 4 to 5-years -old girl) was seated and the kid had almost disappeared into her ipad. The moment Dad asked her to set it aside, she started howling as if someone is flaying her alive. A very angry mom handed the device back to her and the kid was happy.
We have ruined ourselves with our tech dependencies, serious case of psychos and monsters are on the rise. No one is safe anymore. Not men, women, children, senior citizens not even animals. Every day when we encounter any form of news, we are bombarded with rapes, murder, genocide, wars, scams. On any given day, the newspapers are filled with such horrifying items, the only happy place in the newspapers are restricted to the comics, crossword or the stand-alone picture section.
All the love and compassion that our ancestors had in their hearts is being replaced by anger and hatred for us and even more so for the future generations.
So, whether it is the Norse Gods causing Ragnarok, or Christian God causing Judgment day with the 4 Horsemen of Apocalypse or the Hindu God avatar kalki, who is supposed to bring an end to the world and punish ‘man’ for his sins… SOMEONE DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!
We, as human beings, have crossed all levels of sanity and possible retribution. What we are doing now is causing pain and tribulation to millions on a daily basis in an infinity loop. Hence, may be the Universe can generously shower us with some meteors or something so that we are all put out of miseries in a jiffy and the planet can start afresh…

I love pets. I have two beautiful thai cats called Tammy(female) and Yommo(male). Yommo is 1 year older than Tommy. He acts like a bigger brother for her. 🙂
